Us, our vision and mission

We are a friendly and caring pre-school operating in a safe and stimulating environment within a large and bright hall attached to Coney Hill Baptist Church. The Setting is owned by Coney Hill Baptist Church and is run on a Christian basis. However, each child is valued, whatever their sex, race or cultural background.

The day to day management and running of the Pre-School is in the hands of Isabella Anselmi Zane.

There is a large car park at the rear of the church for safe parking.

We are registered for 36 children per session, aged between 2 and 5 years, but we aim to have a maximum of 25 children per session to ensure quality time. We are open for 38 weeks a year.

All staff are qualified in childcare with a minimum of NVQ2, but the majority hold an NVQ3 or equivalent. Our membership of the Pre School Alliance ensures that we are constantly in touch with new thinking in the field of child education and care. Staff attend regular training in all areas to update their knowledge and are Police checked. At Jigsaw we welcome all families into a fun and engaging environment, where all children can explore, grow and develop : we go for nature walks, do library and allotment visits, have a day trip each spring, go to visit Santa in his grotto every December, and more.

Every child is Unique, so we encourage each child to develop to their full potential, progressing towards the Early Learning Goals of the Early Years Foundation Stage through our Key Person system; each member of staff has particular responsibility for just a few children and tailors the group's curriculum to the individual needs.

Our Mission is for every child to be given the best possible start in life and to develop their own wellbeing, self - esteem, resilience, curiosity, uniqueness and love for learning.
